The Silent War

Some days I find it hard to speak the thoughts inside my mind, the other day I find it easy to sing the rhythm of my heart through the song. You never know either what lies in someone else mind, they may look quiet but deep down in their bones they’re broken and fragile like a glass. Their eyes are sparkling with happiness and joy but behind those smile hide the sadness within their soul.

I always tend to fake my real emotions when facing someone. I’m fond of hiding the true feelings whenever I’m hurt and feel down on my knees. People pretend to be alright though they’re not and I guess that’s common in many. Why do we pretend that everything’s alright between ourselves? Well, it’s our way to hide the real us whenever things didn’t go in a way we imagine. Disappointments, failures, struggles, and pain are the reasons why we fake our emotions when facing others.

Not all war are seen by the eyes, some are never heard, seen by the our sight and just lurk in the minds. We battle the unknown war inside our head, no one see how you fight this war, how you struggle everyday. No one knows how exhausted you are, both physical and emotional exhausted. No one knows how lost you are while smiling amidst the crowd, no one knows how broken your soul. Not everyone will understand you, for they never know the battles you fought inside. Some will judge you by your silence, some will talk to your back that they knew the whole story.

No one will save you from drowning in the depths of your thoughts, no one will see how you manage to breathe in the ocean of isolation. Only yourself could save you in the death that slowly eats your soul. No matter how strong the waves that hits your rock, be firm and courageous when the storm crash your home. Never lose your hope for the storm will pass, stay on your ground and stand still. Keep on fighting and remember you are a fighter of life. Struggles and pain will hit and hurt you, endure the cuts and lift your sword. You can do it, just keep on believing.
