Self Realizations

Beautiful Disaster

I have written poems about everything
until emptiness lurked within.
I have freed the unspoken words
until fear enveloped thy being.
I was in my best – dauntless and bold
until I stumbled upon your world.
I can only despise myself for surrendering
amidst the tempest that has befallen.
I can only cry a river of tears
for the relentless timidity, I have embraced.
You can now unchain your suppressed laughter
as I beg for your profound understanding.
Shame and humiliation are hereby accepted
if such can only give birth to acceptance.
Clearly, I was one who I wanted to be
until the world ordained what it wanted me to be.
Today, I have become its greatest masterpiece
but my own dear worst enemy.
